Jorge Reguero, MD, is a fellowship-trained Colon & Rectal Surgeon. He obtained his medical degree in Cuba and went on to help underserved communities in Central America. He completed his General Surgery training at Yale University and his Colon and Rectal Fellowship at Indiana University. His goal is to serve the community with compassionate care and help his patients achieve successful outcomes.
Dr. Reguero incorporates advanced laparoscopy to the management of diseases of the colon and rectum. He is trained in the most current techniques in the field, including Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEMS), Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (TaTME), single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) and Robotic Surgery applied to rectal cancer and pelvic floor disorders. He specializes in laparoscopic management of colorectal cancer, complicated or uncomplicated diverticulitis, polyposis syndromes and inflammatory bowel disease. His clinical interests include treatment of benign anorectal conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures, abscess and anal fistula, as well as management of pelvic floor pathologies.
