Physical findings of the head: premature fusion of calvarial sutures (most commonly brachycephaly, but scaphocephaly, trigonocephaly, and cloverleaf skull deformity have been observed), midface hypoplasia, reduced dental arch, and a constricted high arch plate; class III malocclusion, shallow orbits, ocular proptosis, nystagmus, strabismus, optic nerve atrophy.

Associated physical findings: no digit abnormalities.

Genetics: autosomal dominant; variability in expression.

Mental status:  normal.

Timing:  fronto-orbital advancement by age 6-12 months; Le Fort III osteotomy after skeletal maturity is reached at around puberty (others prefer age 4-7 years); secondary midface advancement (Le Fort I) age 14-18 years.
