Cystic hygromas are lymphatic anomalies which occur in equal frequency in both sexes and all races. Cervicofacial and axillary region are the most common locations followed by the extremity and trunk. Can be diagnosed in utero as early as 12 weeks gestation.
Cystic hygroma most frequently occurs in the anterior cervical triangle. Characteristic history is growth with the child.
