Lymphoepithelial lesions is associated with HIV infection. In most cases the presenting complaint was a painless mass in the parotid. Lesions in HIV-positive patients are usually multiple, bilateral, cystic, and associated with lymphadenopathy. Fine needle aspiration can be done to confirm the diagnosis. For those HIV-positive patients without AIDS, AZT therapy can reduce the size of the lesions and may produce an acceptable result. Surgery is advocated in cases in which AZT has failed. In patients with the manifestions of AIDS, radiotherapy is probably the best course.
