Leiomyosarcoma is a rare malignant soft tissue sarcoma. Superficial leiomyosarcomas may occur anywhere in the body, but there is a predilection for the extremities and especially the thighs. At presentation, the lesion characteristically is a solitary, well-circumscribed nodule of the skin. Wide local excision is the treatment of choice.
